All Graphite HMI models provide drag-and-drop protocol conversion, data logging, and web-based monitoring and control. With approvals from UL Class 1, Division 2, ABS, ATEX, and IECEx, Graphite HMIs empower customers to connect, monitor, and manage processes in challenging environments.

Available in eight sizes ranging from 7 inches to 15 inches, Graphite HMIs showcase sleek full-color touchscreens within a streamlined, compact design for straightforward installation. Their robust cast-aluminum construction supports both outdoor and indoor displays, accommodating a wide range of operating temperatures and high shock/vibration resistance that enable organizations to connect, monitor, and manage processes regardless of the setting. Users can unify disparate devices by converting up to 20 industrial protocols simultaneously, utilizing a built-in library of over 300 supported drivers. Additionally, a wide array of module and expansion options is available to seamlessly enhance capabilities and meet diverse requirements.

Stylish, Rugged Design: Graphite HMIs feature dependable, resistive analog touchscreens and a sturdy aluminum casing that allows operation in high shock, vibration, and temperature conditions. Standard and widescreen models are offered in sizes from 7 inches to 15 inches. The 7-inch and 10-inch models also feature UV-resistant, sunlight-readable displays for outdoor applications.

Expansion Capabilities: Graphite HMIs are the industry’s most durable HMIs, providing the versatility of plug-in modules and expansion racks that can be easily installed on-site for application customization. Available Graphite modules include dedicated PID controllers, digital I/O, analog I/O, high-density thermocouple, RTD, strain gauge, and a fully isolated universal analog input module. Furthermore, the Graphite Crimson® Control module enables users to utilize industry-standard IEC 61131 programming languages to develop logic code without additional costs. Connectivity: Graphite HMIs come standard with one 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet port, two RS-232 serial ports, one RS-422/485 serial port, one USB Device port, and two USB Host ports, along with support for serial to Ethernet conversion. Additional Ethernet and/or RS-422/485 ports are available on select models.

Communication: Supporting communication with over 300 different protocols, Graphite HMIs provide a robust communication platform for HMIs. Utilize Graphite devices to manage multi-vendor applications and network-enable existing equipment. Control PLCs, drives, motion controllers, or PID controllers directly from the Graphite interface.

Remote Monitoring and Control: Graphite HMIs excel in keeping personnel updated on machine and process performance. With an integrated web server, remote staff can monitor and control equipment from nearly any networked device. Graphite HMIs can also notify personnel about existing or impending issues via email or SMS text messages, ensuring that problems are addressed promptly to minimize downtime.

Data Collection: Equipped with a built-in data logger, Graphite HMIs provide a powerful means for recording continuous data, events, and alarms. Data can be gathered from any connected devices and compiled into CSV-formatted files for storage, display, email, or automatic synchronization with an FTP or Microsoft SQL server.

Crimson Software: Red Lion’s robust Crimson® software is an exceptional programming platform that harnesses the capabilities of the Graphite HMI platform through simple drag-and-drop, point-and-click configuration. Unlike competing HMIs that charge extra for complex software, Red Lion’s Crimson software is included with each Graphite HMI. Additionally, advanced IEC 61131 control and programming features can be easily integrated using the Graphite Crimson Control module.
